Tiivistelmä
ReCollect and ReShare, developed by the UK Data Archive from EPrints repository software, are repository solutions for holding and sharing collections of research data. The ReCollect plug-in allows any institution to install their own EPrints data repository with relative ease. The ReShare repository will augment the data infrastructure available to the UK Data Archive, for the storage, discovery and dissemination of social sciences and humanities data collections. For both developments, extensive customisation was done to make the EPrints software more suitable for complex collections of research data. The metadata profile was expanded, based on standard metadata schemas DataCite, GEMINI and DDI. The workflow and user interface were optimised for their purpose and policy information and help guidance added. ReShare allocates DOIs to data collections, imports related project information from the RCUK Gateway to Research and exports DDI metadata to the Archive’s discovery platform Discover.
