Tiivistelmä
Unlike true online open repositories, handling of Ordnance Survey digital maps takes place in highly restricted environments with minimal access. The UK Legal Deposit Libraries, Ordnance Survey, The British Library, and The National Archives together are responsible for various aspects of archiving and access for the digital output of the national mapping agency. This presentation will outline the various institutional aims represented, which range from those of a heritage library to publisher to national archive. These aims define our various approaches to collecting, housing, cataloguing, curating, preserving, and providing access to Ordnance Survey geospatial datasets, which will be described along with the systems and processes for each.
