Tiivistelmä
Information technology has revolutionized many industries, changing business operations and communication norms. With the introduction of Industry 4.0, which is characterized by automation and digitalization, businesses must adapt significantly as smart factories, cyber-physical systems, and the Internet of Things are integrated. Business intelligence tools are essential in this shift because they allow organizations to quickly use data to make decisions and gain a competitive advantage. Using these tools presents both opportunities and challenges, particularly in a multi-company situation where collaborative outcomes are the goal.
This research investigates how business intelligence tools can be integrated into the manufacturing ecosystem, with a particular emphasis on multi-company settings that depend on real-time data analysis from a variety of sources. After conducting a thorough analysis, the study pinpoints the difficulties related to sharing information, working together on reports, and using business intelligence efficiently in this intricate environment. The study suggests visual reports tailored to different aspects of the manufacturing ecosystem, using the Balanced Scorecard framework as a guiding principle. This allows for greater accountability, ongoing improvement, and operational synergy among involved businesses.
The analysis revealed challenges that emphasized how important it is for cooperating entities to have standardized metrics, accurate data, and streamlined communication. Although they presented obstacles, these challenges also presented chances for openness, collaboration, and the creation of shared value. The suggested reports, in line with the viewpoints of the Balanced Scorecard, present viable ways to improve both short-term operational effectiveness and long-term strategic alignment in the ever-changing manufacturing environment. This study provides the groundwork for future improvements in manufacturing ecosystem reporting, which will promote collaboration, efficiency, and long-term competitiveness.
