Tiivistelmä
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a set of rules laid out by the European Union in May 2018, designed to protect, and give more control over personal data of its citizens. By replacing the Data Protection Directive (DPD), which had been in use since October 1995, all organizations that collect and process personal data of citizens who reside within the European Union must comply with the regulations that the GDPR presents. GDPR compliance has become a particularly significant requirement for most organizations in the information technology sector, due to information technology companies being involved in collecting and processing personal data. To achieve GDPR compliance, this thesis will create an application that automatically removes data when deemed unnecessary.
