Tiivistelmä
The increased use of internet also involves an increase in the amount of data surrounding the world. The demand for data protection has become an essential factor and therefore the General Data Protection Regulation came into effect on the 25th of May 2018. The goal for the new European Union’s regulation is to control how personal data are obtained, processed, and stored. Along with the regulation, a cookie consent notice has become common on websites as organizations identify data subjects through cookies and hence must have their consent choices confirmed. Therefore, the purpose of conducting this study was to understand the people’s reaction, consent choices and awareness towards the cookie consent notice.
